As HR leaders we are responsible for employee engagement, acquiring the best talent, using data to drive business results, and creating and driving the most appropriate culture for our organization. Yet, we are often viewed as a support function; somehow separated from the “mission work.” This is, in my estimation, not correct. We are essential to the mission and as such are part of the mission. We are not an “enabling, or support function.” I developed an E book to encourage some dialogue around this issue and to provide an alternative way of viewing the HR leadership.
